We are excited to announce the long-awaited return of K-W’s Indigenous People’s Day Powwow in partnership with K-W Multicultural Festival! This event will take place over two days in Victoria Park at Roo’s Island this June 25th and 26th from 12:00PM – 6:00PM each day.
Registration is now open for dancers, volunteers and vendors!
REGISTRATION CLOSES ON FRIDAY JUNE 17TH AT 5:00PM.
Please use this form to register.
Changing areas will be made available on the island for registered dancers.
Food and refreshments will be provided throughout each day.
Portable restroom and washing stations will be accessible on the island.
Every volunteer will be assigned a staff member to report to and will have specified roles throughout the day. It is important that registered volunteers are reliable and can work independently if needed. At this time, we ask that registered volunteers be of 16 years of age or older.
Shelter, tables and chairs will be provided for approved, registered vendors at no cost. Confirmed vendors will receive a notice via email with important information and recommendations.
Due to the possibility of a large number of vendor registrations and limited space on the island, there is a $50.00 flat fee to reserve your space and equipment upon registration. This will act as a 100% refundable deposit. This fee will be administered to successful registrants with payment options listed in a later email.
