Canoe Day 2018

We aim to bring together the Aboriginal organizations of the Waterloo Region and the youth that they service, with the members of the justice and police services to help foster a positive perception for all.

The Healing of the Seven Generations, Kitchener-Waterloo Urban Native Wigwam Project, Grand River Métis Council, Indigenous Diabetes Health Circle, Ontario Arts Council, Ontario Trillium Foundation, Canoe the Grand, Niagara Peninsula Aboriginal Area Management Board and Waterloo Regional Police Service will be hosting a canoe trip on Thursday, August 16th 2018. With a Rain Date of Thursday, August 23rd 2018.

Please join us at Kiwanis Park, 1000 Kiwanis Park Drive in Kitchener at 8 a.m.  You can park at Kiwanis and participate in the ongoing activities.  The first wave of canoes will leave at 8:30 a.m. and leave hourly (you have to sign up for your spot!) You will board the bus at Kiwanis and be taken up to Conestoga Golf Course for a 2-3 hour tour back down to Kiwanis.

Registration is required to attend the canoe trip and/or the celebration.  In addition wavers will need to be signed and can be found HERE.
