NPAAMB Indigenous Youth Employment & Training is excited to announce that registration is now open for our upcoming Urban Indigenous Youth Gathering, Open Mic Night & Electric Pow Wow featuring DJ Boogie the Beat! This event is in partnership with Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum and funded by the Government of Canada.
The Urban Indigenous Youth Gathering will take place from 2:00PM–7:00PM and is designed for Indigenous youth ages 18–30. The afternoon will include:
• Cultural workshops
• Land-based activities
• Art, music, and creative programming
• Youth engagement opportunities
• Community resources and vendors
• Food and connection opportunities
From 7:00PM–10:00PM, the event will open to the wider community for an Open Mic Night & Electric Pow Wow featuring DJ Boogie The Beat. Community members of all ages are welcome to attend the evening celebration.
This event is being created as a welcoming and empowering space for Indigenous youth and community members to connect through culture, creativity, music, and celebration.
